Cagliari have confirmed that they will face Sampdoria in the Europa League next season.
The Rossoneri have secured a deal with the Serie A club for the players, who will be the first to join the club in Europe since Alessandro Florenzi’s move to the Rossonerio in the summer of 2015.
The Bianconeri will face off against Sampdori in the group stage of the Europa Leagues, with the tie taking place on April 1st.
The two teams met in the first leg of the final in Milan in October.
Giorgiochiellinini, who scored twice in the 5-0 win, was handed the captain’s armband by Cesare Prandelli and is likely to be a key figure in the midfield, as is his right-sided partner Raffaelle Lippoli.
Marquinhoes team is without its top scorer and two-time winner in the former Sassuolo man.
The Italian international has been a part of the side since January and has made the most of his return to the team.
The midfielder, who joined Milan in the July transfer window, has already scored eight goals in 31 league appearances.
